About Me
I am a qualified sleep consultant and a mother of twin boys and a younger daughter, living in Bristol, UK. I am a qualified social worker and have worked with children and families in the public and charity sector for 15 years as a child protection social worker. I also have a foundation qualification in systemic family therapy.
Becoming a parent can be overwhelming in so many ways, but even more so with no sleep. After the birth of my twins I found myself constantly feeling like I would be better able to manage if only I had a bit more sleep. Once I got my twins sleeping well everything became a lot easier, I realised that getting better sleep was achievable and have since then really wanted to help other families to achieve this too.
I believe strongly that parents, but particularly mothers, should be able to access sleep support to enable them to function in the busy world that we live in. Women for too long have been expected to just get on with too many things, and broken sleep is yet another barrier. Luckily its one that can be overcome by accessing the right support. Sleep is crucial to enabling us as women to be the parents we want to be and to achieve our own goals and ambitions alongside motherhood.
Discussions around little one’s sleep can be confusing, with widely varying conflicting advice all to prevalent. I believe that it doesn’t have to be like this and that everyone deserves a good night’s sleep. I will support you, without pressure or judgement, to find a sleep solution that works for you, your baby and your family.
